A Toddlers life, and the Mom who cleans behind him...
I don't claim to be mother of the year.....just trying to keep my beast alive and myself sane.

Grandma Gail & Uncle Justin came to visit for the weekend. As you can see Trevor and Uncle Justin had a lot of fun together.

We started the weekend out by going out for fish on Friday night. Of course all Trevor wanted to do is run around and play with the pool balls at the pool table. We got him to sit long enough to eat a few fries, some ice, and the frosting off a brownie. Just another well-rounded meal. I swear he really does eat things that are good for him at home, but that isn’t fun to talk about. Saturday unfortunately Grandma Gail woke up with the flu. However, she did make it out of bed to witness her son pay up on a bet he had with one of our neighbors. I won’t post the pictures for fear that I will be sleeping in the basement, but they are GOOD! See, Jeff and the neighbor had a bet on the Super Bowl. Jeff lost. This means that he had to deliver a case of beer to the neighbor with only his underwear, rabbit fur hat, and boots on. Of course leave it to Jeff to take it one step further and wear a thong. I think Trevor is now scarred for life, and anything that he may do wrong in life can be blamed on this moment. The neighborhood gathered in front of our house, cameras in hand to witness the event. It was quite comical, and I can just imagine what the passing cars thought of the whole thing. Really, the rest of the weekend was uneventful in comparison.

What do you do on a Saturday afternoon when the temperature outside is 0 degrees? Well, today’s choices were the Model Train Show or the Zor Shrine Circus. Tough choice, but we went with the circus. We picked up Trevor’s girlfriend Ariel and her mom Krista and off we went.
Now I haven’t been to the circus since being a kid myself. Was this a particularly bad circus or has the circus always been this bad? The kids enjoyed themselves for the most part.
They really enjoyed their first ever cotton candy.
Can you see the excitement in Krista’s eyes? We had to drag her out of the circus kicking and screaming…..I think she was considering joining. How would I have explained that to her husband when he returned from China?
We decided after seeing the worst ever clowns perform for the 4th time, it was time to go.
We left and headed for the Red Robin STARVING. Well, Krista and I were starving; we came to find out that Jeff snuck off to have a hot dog without us at the circus. We’re not at all bitter about it…..
Trevor dined on a meal of milk and ketchup. I always hear people complain about kids screaming in restaurants and ruining their meal. While ketchup and milk is not the healthiest dinner, it kept him quiet and happy. That seems to be what really matters when dining out with a toddler.

Trevor LOVES Monsters Inc.. He has watched it more times than I care to admit too. He wants it on the TV 24/7. Today he has finally learned his first line from the movie. As I am changing his diaper, and he is of course watching Monsters he yells out "OH NUTS" clear as day. Oh I just can't wait for him to say that to his daycare teachers. Just one of my very proud moments!Where to start?????
Yeah, I figured you must already know that since he will be 20 months in two days. Trevor started day care this week, which means Maaaama (as he calls me) finally has time to track his life. He will probably ask me one day what happened the first 20 months of his life, and I’ll have to send him to talk to Daddy (whose memory is much better than mine). I really haven’t had the time to write things down in a baby book. Little did I know how quickly you forget things like how old he was when he took his first steps. Oooops my bad. You would think I would have learned by now to listen to my own Mom and when she tells me "Kari, you better write this stuff down" to do as she says, because Moms are always right. I’ll listen next time……promise. I figure that since I am sitting in front of this computer all day long spending most of my time waiting for my work programs to load I have some time between to update everyone on the daily life of the beast I call Trevor. So I’ll get this started with some facts about Trevor:
Trevor came into our lives on June 17th 2004 via c-section.
As parents we have been puked on, peed on, pooped on and used as everything from a pillow to a jungle gym. You know true love when someone does all these things to you and you still let them to live with you.
Trevor hit all the normal milestones at the normal ages, so I won’t bore you with those details. Ok, so I don’t remember….again, my bad.
Trevor loves apples a.k.a. bapples, cookies (which is anything out of the pantry), cheeeeeese, and juice.
Trevor loves to climb and jump from high places without any fear. Grandma Gail on the other hand lost a few years on her life when she saw him do that for the first time.
Trevor loves music and LOVES to dance especially with his Jo Jo
Trevor is a Daddies boy to the extreme. Everyone says that they tend to switch back and forth on which parent is the favorite. Not Trevor, he has been a Daddies boy from day one and will be forever. I’ve made peace with it, but I think Daddy sometimes wishes he’d be a Mamas boy for just a little while to get a break.
Trevor loves his Kitty’s. Weiser gets plenty of hugs, kisses and nosey’s on a daily basis. It’s too bad that Weiser doesn’t feel the same. Miles, our other cat, hides from the moment Trevor gets up until he goes to bed at night. As soon as Trevor goes to bed, you can guarentee you will see Miles within 5 mintues.
Trevor may look like his Daddy, but he gets traits from lots of family members. He gets his daredevil side from his Daddy. He definitely has Grandma Gail’s acting skills; he can fake with the best of em’. He loves to collect things, which he gets from Grandpa Dan. Finding inappropriate things funny, well that’s from me. He loves anything new, and we all know that if there is anything at a store with a label that says "NEW" Grandma Jo Jo’s gonna buy it. He loves to play in the dirt; he learned that from playing in the garden with Grandma Kathy.
Trevor has a girlfriend who he loves named Ariel. However, I think he is secretly really in love with Ariel’s Mom…..he says her name with such excitement in his voice.
Trevor loves daycare so far. I think he is the only child that doesn’t want to go home when his parents come to pick him up.
Ok so now that you are up to date, I hope to be able to post all Trevor’s pictures and the stories of his daily life here. I hope you enjoy it and check back often, I’ll try to update every few days or at least weekly.
Note: I take no responsibility for my grammar and spelling errors. There is a reason I had to take English in summer school more than once.
